Glen Dow Academy, in Spokane, WA, is a Premier Member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools. The AACS began in 1924 and is comprised of a privately owned beauty schools around the United States. Member schools specialize in cosmetology, skin care, massage, nails and barbering.
Students who attend AACS member schools are eligible to apply for a number of scholarships to help defray the cost of a beauty school education. The non-profit Beauty Change Lives Foundation awards more than 10 different scholarships to prospective, new or advanced students every year. Since 2013, the organization has awarded more than $1.5 million in aid to students attending cosmetology, esthetics, nail, massage, makeup and advanced courses. That amounts to more than 300 scholarships!
